      The elephant Saba at Kolmården. She was born in 1968 in the wild and was caught in 1973. Then she was sent to Parc Le Pal where she lived alone without any contact with other elephants during several decades. In 2007 she was sent to Kolmården and the intention was that she should be the matriarch. However, this didn't happen as she didn't know how to interact with other elephants and that the two other females in the group, Bua and Saonoi, were very tight friends. Saba didn't fit into the group as expected and instead liked to interact with the keepers. In 2019 she was moved to Burgers Zoo where they had an old female named Pinky living alone. Now Saba and Pinky live together
