Fish ID?

Saw this strange fish at a pet store near me. I didn't see any signs that indicated what it was, nor could I find any images on it when I typed in its description, not that there was much to describe to be fair. Anyone know what this fish is?

It's hard to tell, but I wonder if it might be a mormyrid - the family that includes the elephant-nosed fishes, but not all of them have long noses. They tend to be plain and dark in colour, and their dorsal fins have long bases along their backs, but no spines. There are an awful lot of similar species which probably need a specialist to identify.

Yeah it is one of the Mormyrus species, which are typically traded as "freshwater dolphin fish". They all look quite similar and I don't know which would be most likely in an American pet shop.

Some kind of mormyrid for sure
