      Does the Auckland War Memorial Museum actually have North American fossils in their collections? If so, for which taxa and time periods? Regardless, that is a nice looking diorama.

      @UngulateNerd92 - thiese photos were taken almost eight years ago so I can't actually remember the labelling situation, but I expect there were identification panels for the models.

      There are no North American fossils on display, which isn't to say that the museum doesn't possess any. I'd imagine these dioramas were originally part of such a display and had simply been put back on display because they are interesting and small enough to fill some gaps. This area of the museum is basically used to showcase some of the specimens and artifacts which would otherwise simply be in storage.

      The museum has its collection searchable online on their website if you want to browse through.
