      So they have finally put natural substrate and a bit more climbing frames in the right enclosure, though it remains rather small.

      @Jarne I don't remember exactly when this was done. I did take a look at some older images and the climbing structures were already present in the spring of 2019. The natural substrate might have been put in more recently however, when the change was made where the mandrills have access to one outdoor terrace and the spider monkeys to the other.

      @KevinB From this angle I'd swear it is a different climbing structure, but you're probably right and I probably just need to start visiting the zoo more often again.

      @Jarne At this point we just have to hope we will be able to visit our zoos again at some point in the coming months, or really, ever again at all. At this point really isn't any hope or perspective for a reopening anytime soon, if ever at all...
