      A wonderful little critter! Fairly impressive for this little guy to be so small to fit in between those cactus spines! These animals build a cone-like nest on tree branches. A male in this photo.

      Usually I see them in palo verde trees. This is the first time I have seen one on a cholla.

      @Arizona Docent Yes, according to my animal books that's where they ususally like to nest or hang out, Cylindropuntia is not the norm, but still a wonderful sight to see, regardless of where this little guy likes to hang out. :)
