To my knowledge. The turtle/tortoise species living in this terrarium that you have mentioned earlier, is most likely to be a Black Wood Turtle (Rhinoclemmys funerea).

@Austin the Sengi Thank you very much! I typed that into Google including the zoo's info, and they had an entire Facebook page mentioning them.

No problem @Moebelle. I’m just happy enough to help you out with the identification of the turtle species. I am also both excited and curious to see which exhibit at the Jacksonville Zoo will be the first to be featured on Zoo Tours as well.

@Austin the Sengi When I went to this zoo last week, I actually saw signage for Terrapene coahuila (Aquatic/Coahuilan Box Turtle) at this exhibit instead (and nothing for Black Wood Turtles). The signage was on regular paper, and you can actually see part of it in the picture on the far right below the other signs. I did see the facebook post that Moebelle mentioned, but it was from 2020.

I uploaded a picture of the signage I saw to the gallery.

So it seems the Black Wood Turtles they did have are no longer exhibited here, and were replaced with Aquatic Box Turtles (the signage I mentioned appears to be a placeholder).
