      @Mr Gharial What did the sign on the saltwater tank say?
    • UngulateNerd92
      When this was the Fish Cave, what species were present in that building?

      @MennoPebesma

      Something along the lines of:
      "This tank is currently empty because the water is still circulating. It will receive larger inhabitants later this year. But you can currently already see smaller inhabitants, like shrimps, snails and corals!"

      The following species were kept in a number of different aquariums:
      - Cardinal tetra (Paracheirodon axelrodi)
      - Axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum)
      - Red cherry shrimp (Neocaridina davidi)
      - Blue streak hap (Labidochromis caeruleus)
      - Kenyi cichlid (Metriaclima lombardoi)

      Before that, it was a 'creepy cave'. There were rats, snakes, crickets and tarantulas, for example.

      The new owner who took over the zoo in 2015 wanted to focus more on aquatic animals, so it became the Fish Cave. In 2020 it was converted into this area
