This sickening enclosure looks like a cage from a primate-testing facility. How is this viewable to the public?
@AndyJ08 I was appalled to see this 'exhibit' at the zoo. I have so many questions for this place. How is it legal to keep extremely social baboons by themselves or even with one other companion? How is it legal to maintain large primates in such a tiny environment? Why isn't there a ladder or a rope for the baboons to use to access their indoor quarters? Do elderly baboons still have to leap up to get inside? What do those indoor areas look like? This place is one of many examples of how bad America can be for zoos.
@snowleopard I have been to some truly grimy roadside zoos, but this takes the cake for the single worst enclosure I have ever seen!
