Lovely photo - this bird is found in the far northeast of Australia and is supposed to be locally common but i failed to see it on the one occasion i was up there.

      Great species.
Is the remaining specimen still on display?
    • Pygathrix
It was still there in September 2012

Does anyone know if these birds have ever bred in Berlin? I read that this is the 'remaining specimen' (see comment by ralph). What happened to the other birds? Are they being kept anywhere else than Berlin?

Based on changes in the annual summaries of the Berlin Zoo animals know that this species appeared in this place in 2000. Were three individuals (unfortunately do not know the sex and I do not know what happened to the other two).
