      @lintworm: thanks for uploading all of your photos. Also, I appreciate the little comments that you've added as it helps explain the exhibits. You mention that this "Rodent Rock" is historic and do you know when it was built?

      Thanks, I will upload more of Zoo Berlin this week ;). I do not know when this exhibit was built, but it is quite some time ago ;) unfortunately my book about the architecture of Zoo Berlin is still in the NL and not here in Switzerland... But I am sure somebody else has this book to...

      I brought several books back from the Netherlands, including "der Berliner Zoo im Spiegel seiner Bauten". Which is a brilliant book about all buildings/animal exhibits that have been constructed until 1989 in the Berlin Zoo. According to this book, this enclosure stems from 1903, off course back then the amount of enclosures was double of what it is know...
