Fantastic photo, rare antelope are my favorite! when did you take this?

At last, an antelope species which you you not have in the States...I took this picture in 2007.
Unfortunately, there are only two zoos in europe with mountain reedbucks, both in germany.

Dvur Kralove also keeps the species, isn't that so?

True, I thought Berlin was the only zoo in europe with this species.

Orycteropus, Think you're right, I've found them in the Zooguidebook 2006, and I think, they still keep them.

There were four institutions in Europe which kept the species in 2001. Does anybody know which was the fourth zoo which has not mentioned yet? Thanks ...

Could it be Vienna ? I know they has kept them, I was there in 2003 but I havn't seen reedbucks there, maybe I've missed them.

The Zoo Halle in germany has kept them also, and I think, it was in 2001. I don't know what happend to them, if they died or send to another zoo, I have to ask for that.

Oh, yes, I've forgotten ... You are right Zebraduiker: Vienna Zoo kept this species in a mixed-species exhibit with Roan antilopes .... and there was an other institution, the Lisboa Zoo which also housed their Mountain Reedbucks together with Kafue Flats Lechwe in the early 2000s ...

Dvur Kralove has been keeping and breeding Mountain Reedbucks since 1970's, when a group of about 8 animals had been originally imported from Africa by Josef Vagner, the former, famous director in Dvur Kralove.

Hodenhagen has kept Mountain reedbucks also.
