One of the two exhibits for black-and-white ruffed lemurs and red ruffed lemurs in Duisburg Zoo, Germany. Quite old-fashioned and not very pleasing for the eye but perfectly adequate and well furnished for the lemurs. July 2009

      This cages were built to keep clouded leopards in the past. But they did not breed in there, so the zoo decided to bring them back to the old carnivore house...

      When I first saw them I did think that the exhibits must have been built for some kind of carnivore. There is just something about the style (and the strong chain link fence).
