The Crocodile House at Budapest Zoo

The Crocodile House was rebuilt just in the recent past in front of the Palm House. The Nile crocodiles also have indoor and outdoor enclosures. Inside the house the crocs share theirs pool with African cichlids. There is an oppurtinity for visitors to see the inside pool through glass panels. The building also exhibit some other african species inside.

      Not at all ;) This 'raised up' building in its apperiance follows the original plans from 1909, and the construction is based on contemporary photographs and archival materials.

      I really like the unique buildings in this zoo. So many concepts. I doubt I'll ever make it there, but it's now on my wishlist.
