Sloth bear enclosure is under construction @ Budapest Zoo

There were very small animal holding areas for other bear species (for a pair of Grizzly and a single Asiatic black bear) before the renovation. Currently these small areas were connected so bigger exhibit will be provided for the Sloth bears. An animal from Leipzig Zoo arriving soon. Photo taken June 2008.

      No Sloth Bears arrived. The renovated historical bear grotto exhibits a pair of Syrian Brown Bears at the moment.
