Crowded Gorilla House, Dublin Zoo, April 2012

Probably the only flaw in the otherwise perfect new gorilla exhibit. The inside viewing window is pretty small and on a busy day like this, people have to queue to see the gorillas indoor. (This was taken on a very cold Tuesday, can´t imagine it during a summer weekend..)

      Stefka- your photos are brilliant;)- this really gives an idea of what its like in there. I had noticed in your previous interior shot that the viewing window wasn't that wide for the size of the building. Definately a flaw as you say. I'm glad I wasn't in here this day!!:D

      Wouldn't the gorillas be outside during a summer weekend? (asking hopefully as I have a visit planned in a few weeks ;) )
    • Pertinax
      Depends on if it was pouring with rain or not- and also if they give them indoor/outside free access or not.;)

      Stefka-can you get a few shots of Dublin's Orangutan enclosure(inside and outside?) as you did so well with this enclosure?
    • Gigit
      Oh well, I've probably endured worse at Paignton! At least it looks large enough to avoid the risk of being mown down by/having to fight your way past children's buggies ;)

      @Pertinax: thank you... :eek:
      And I will take few shots of the Orangutan exhibit, no problem. (Well, the light inside is pretty bad, but I´ll try.) Not sure when though, quite busy now.

      @Gigit and anyone else visiting Dublin Zoo this summer: If you´re planning to visit Dublin, go ahead and PM me. I will be more than happy to meet with you and other ZooChatters in person, if I have time that day.
