Lion Enclosure Zoo di Napoli

One half of the Lion enclosure at Zoo di Napoli, the second half can bee seen behind and is almost identical, the lions have access to the pit-like moat via wooden steps also.

      Could just be the weather and/or time of year, but it seems a little grotty IMHO. I'm guessing that space at the front was once a water moat?
