      Is this difference in eye colour between the sexes a usual thing? If so, I did not realise they could be sexed on eye colour; either way, I will now be looking carefully at the wild Herring Gulls around here, to see if I can find one with dark eyes.
      Are these wild or captive examples? They look as if they are full-winged.

      Eye color does not depend on sex! This is a natural wild Herring Gulls population breeding in the Zoo.
