Looks like Gorge is only a few hectares in size, Hix? Everything is relatively developed.

Clearly, birds and the black leopard are the reasons to go to Gorge.

      Looks fairly large in size

According to the website it's 5.7 hectares, which is about what I thought.

And the fishing cats and Rhea!

I was thinking from a national perspective but yes, for Adelaide residents Gorge is the place to go for fishing cats.

Also, I think Gorge might be the only place in SA with penguins, and the closest to Adelaide with cassowaries?

Would love to know how Gorge is doing in the face of the giant panda onslaught. It must be cutting into their bottom line.

Penguins at AZ, Gorge, the Penguin Centre on Granite Island, and a few private people who maintain them.

Cassowaries at AZ, Gorge and Bredls in SA and again I think there are a couple of Private holders with them.

Everytime I have been to Gorge it has been packed!
