a fantastic room of mounted animals. There must be a couple of hundred specimens in here (and this, of course, is where all my Tragic Taxidermy photos were taken). Lots of really cool animals in here, including bear cuscus, Javan rhino, several species of pangolins, giant armadillo.... There are touch screens for identifying every single specimen in the room. May 2014

      What species is the large bovid in the middle right?

      I'm not sure, I think it is a banteng. Either that or a water buffalo.

      You were there on a quiet day. Last time I was there it was packed.

      gaur does ring a bell now that you mention it.

      It was a pretty quiet day, mid-week of course. There were a couple of school groups. But I was waiting for quiet stretches to take photos so it probably looks emptier than it really was.
