Melbourne's Orang-utan Sanctuary..

opposite the entire exhibit is the lake and its two islands. as you can see from this photo, they are heavily overgrown with rainforest vegetation. maybe an "o-line" for the siamangs? could white-cheeked gibbons or langurs reside here in the future? i hope so...

      That island isn't the same now. More barren, less plants, more rocks and more bird crap.

      your thinking of the island in front of it (not shown). not the one in this photo. sadly, i heard the lake is to be filled in for another sumatran tiger exhibit..
