Melbourne's Orang-utan Sanctuary..

Interesting exhibit

This photo is over two years old, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how much vegetation has grown up in the meantime? Those green/yellow sway poles are still worth a debate, as they divide many zoo visitors.

When I saw this exhibit being presented on Zoolex, at first I thought the swaying poles looked just strange and bizarre. But if they are contantly used by the apes then I am all for them.

As you know this is my favorite exhibit that I've ever seen so I'll give a whole rundown on it.
The vegetation on the ground has well and truly taken over so you can only see parts of the ground and I don't know how they are doing it (maybe hotwire) but the trees are still alive.
And Dan the sway poles are one of the best ideas for Orang-utans that I've ever heard of because they work brilliantley and like I've said before I've never seen an Orang0utan on the ground in this exhibit.
