Bars for tigers, July 2013.

Almost unnoticeable. The only time I remember a set-up like this is the Pangani Forest Trail at Disney's Animal Kingdom. Photo taken on one of my visits on either the 14th or 21st July 2013. (See EXIF data for a more accurate date & time)

I remember Rotterdam Zoo having a similar viewing situation in their Sumatran tiger exhibit.

I was going to say Dallas Zoo also. Really clever design.

Very nicely done - I appreciated that it was much more subtle than the other example I'd seen. I think it was previously a bit of a screen in front of Disney's gorillas where a window might have fitted (but I visited in 2001 so it's a very vague memory). Here, during the day I didn't think to look through the bars, and only at night with the lit backdrop did I see that this was a clever barrier.

Edinburgh also has this arrangement in the smaller Sumatran tiger enclosure.

I was about to say that too - very interesting, not seen a lot but when it is seems to be effective.
