Faunia Christmas 2016: blue jaws

This nile crocodile (lightly built, possibly a female), had an oddly blue snout; probably a conseq?ence of being a former inmate of a crocodile farm in Jerez de la Frontera.

      I assume you mean that the crocodile farm painted the snout for identification purposes?

      If it's paint, then it should fade over time.

      Looks very similar to residue from medicine (for example, Terramycin spray).
      Large crocs often injure themselves when being moved and struggling.

      Well, she does have a scar on her snout, so you're probably right.
