      Its an enormous outdoor area for what is still a pretty small group, and I doubt they use it overmuch, but better than being too small...

      I'll check if I have a postable picture for the next batch - it's a fairly standard gorilla house, really!

      From Jim a Davis SB, seems they have a few young in the troop. Would be great to see them making use of the space in play.

      It kills me that I am in Spain but don't have time to visit this zoo, I had no idea it was this good!

      They have a wildcaught male 'Niky' from Madrid Zoo who has bred with two younger zoobred females from other European Zoos, plus there is an older'aunty'(Nadia). There are currently two young.

      On Gorillasland website there are photos of this sloping enclosure from other angles. Its not quite as huge as I first thought as there is a wall below this shot. But still pretty big.
