      This looks like an extremely impressive aviary, is it as big as it appears in the photo? Can the vultures fly a bit?

      I think the photo makes it appear larger than it is, because lengthwise the aviary is quite good, but it is not too tall and I doubt that the vultures can fly like they can in for example the aviary in TP Berlin...

      Thanks for that. The photo does appear to show a bigger aviary than that at the Tierpark. And certainly bigger than many other vulture aviaries.

      Are the chicks of the breeding pair released into the wild?

      Sizewise the aviary will be around the size of the one in TP Berlin, but that one is much higher than this one...

      The aviary does house a breeding pair and young are indeed released in the swiss alps. Behind the scenes there are aviaries preparing the young before release.
