Papiliorama - Jungle Trek (Pathway/exhibits)

Part of the main pathway inside Jungle Trek in the Papiliorama. Jungle Trek is a dome-shaped tropical house 40 meters in diameter and 18 meters tall. It was opened in 2008 and was a major expansion of the Papiliorama. To the right you can see the small pond and to the left are the exhibits for collared peccaries (Pecari tajacu) and white-nosed coatis (Nasua narica). Jungle Trek is meant to be “a little piece of Shipstern”, the nature reserve in Belize that the Papiliorama Foundation manages in situ, and shows wildlife from that region. Papiliorama, July 2010.
