Costarican Tyrant flycatcher

Since the size of this bird family and the similarity between its species, and the fact I only got to take this one picture, I deem it very unlikely someone's going to be able to ID this one. But still worth a shot!

      Where did you see it? Location in combination with the time of the year, rules out quite a few species of tyrrant.

      Monteverde, august.

      It might be a Tropical Pewee (Contopus cinereus), although Monteverde would be at the upper limit of its elevation range.

      I was more leaning towards Western wood-pewee based on the bill colour. It's a common passage migrant in the entire country from July until november.

      Eastern wood-pewee is unlikely since this photo was taken in very early august and that species should not have arrived at CR at that point yet.
