Do regular visitors to this zoo notice whether the hoofstock in the series of "stairmaster" yards actually utilize the entire area of their enclosure? During my tour in 2010 I noticed that all of the animals in these slanted yards were at the tiny part of the exhibit at the top, with hardly any feces to be found lower down. It is possible that the animals spend the bulk of their lives either locked inside or walking back and forth in a very small amount of space due to the design of their outdated yards. Is there any truth to that idea?
