      This was the only gosling I spotted in the park

      what breed is it? It has a ducky body with short ducky legs, but sort of a goosey head.

      More like a large Silver Appleyard than anything else. Look at the beak -- it's a flat, duck's beak. Geese have more of a triangular beak for grazing.

      My apologies ... I wasn't familiar with the breed and thought it looked like a goose.
