@lintworm What did you think about the new complex as a whole? Do you think it is a worthy addition to the Etosha/Gamgoas complex?

@Wyman It is a bit of a difficult comparison, overall this whole Africa themed corner of the zoo is pretty good and they created a good elephant enclosure for the space there is available, with especially outside a huge number of feeding stations to keep the elephants active. The house itself is ok for the elephants and these educations signs are just brilliant. But there are only 2 other enclosures in the house, both of which are boring, one for ants and dung beetles and one with rats , clawed frogs and some fish. The time of the house is "on the move", but that is a bit lost and I would have loved it when they used the available space for some more enclosures of small African mammals, as they so nicely do in the Etosha house, which is still easily the best house in the zoo.

It's deeply subjective, but I think the aesthetic of the whole exhibit is great. It's all sandstone and rusted iron; post-industrial almost to the point of evoking Mad Max.
