Keepers were taking this and another Reindeer from the Eurasia area to the Tundra Trek area.

I love the little antler buds on her head. All members of the deer family look so weird with teeny tiny antlers.

The reindeer is either Mary or Snowy. I couldnt begin to tell them apart. I just know they are the two educational reindeer.

Well, them being educational reindeer makes a ton of sense, as the zoo was filling up with school kids that day.

It is neat to be walking along and see a pair or reindeers or alpacas walking by.

Right now is a great time to see the outreach animals. With the summer season starting, new staff are learning how to handle the outreach animals. On my most recent visit, I saw staff out with the minature donkey, the lanner and gyr falcons, 3 snakes, and 2 rats.
