Farm Fun - Example of pheasantry aviary

Most of Farm Fun's birds live in around 20 aviaries in the relatively new pheasantry which is centered around an (inaccessible) building with indoor quarters. Most of the aviaries are relatively similar, and I didn't get acceptable pictures of all of them, so I'm only showing this one as a typical example. (Some of the aviaries are a bit bigger than this, and all of them are much higher than can be seen on this photo).

The species list is: Blue eared-pheasant, domestic chicken, golden pheasant, Indian peafowl (white variant), Japanese quail, Lady Amherst's pheasant, red junglefowl, Reeves's pheasant, Swinhoe's pheasant, Australian king parrot, blue-and-yellow macaw, cockatiel, crimson rosella, eastern rosella, grey parrot, Lord Derby's parakeet, red-fronted parrot, red-rumped parrot, red-winged parrot, regent parrot, superb parrot, and western rosella.

Farm Fun is a combined playground/park/farm zoo near the town of Aalbæk in the very north of Denmark. Officially, it's a "besøgslandbrug" (visitor's farm) which means it's only allowed to keep the same animals that private people are allowed to keep - meaning that most non-domesticated mammals as well as venomous snakes and some larger birds are forbidden. Some visitor's farms focus solely on farmyard animals, while Farm Fun is among those that split the focus between domestics and exotics.

About a third of the park consists of a huge playground, making the place tremendously popular with families, but the remainder of the area is an animal park, and Farm Fun is the most speciose farm zoo in Denmark, keeping around 60 species (probably some 70-80 types of animals if you count different subspecies and breeds). The exhibitry standards vary a lot - most of the hoofstock have big, green enclosures, but some of the exhibits for smaller animals could certainly need an overhaul.
