      You know what, I completely agree.

      In my mind's eye, I picture a sleeping fennec to look almost exactly like the animal in this photo. We should be trying to disprove that this is a Fennec, rather than disproving that it's a Ruppell's fox. I guess I've been hesitant because I've never seen a live Arabian Ruppell's in daylight before (despite having seen the species in the wild on numerous occasions.) The zootierliste listing might also have had some influence.

      I know the picture is, I was asking if the original animal in the gallery photo could possibly be an Arabian Red Fox in a lighter shade.
