Florida Wildlife Conservation Center-Entrance area

Florida Wildlife Conservation Center-Entrance area
    • Elephants and Alligators
The Entrance area is quite simple in nature. There’s a water feature in from of the welcome center surrounded by native plants and a few cypress trees. Be on the lookout for pond wildlife!

The welcome center has many educational displays on the park and it’s history, a small cafe, and a gift shop.

The veterinary and health clinic is where much of our wildlife rehabilitation and routine care for our permanent residents takes place. We have a release rate of 90%, meaning most animals that come into our care don’t stay for long. But those that can’t stay with us here at the park, where you can come and meet them on our tours!

The Cultural and Natural History Building is a great way to learn about the life of Florida’s past and present, the ecosystems and their functions, and human interactions with said environments, from the Native Americans, to the Colonizers, to the Modern Day.

from here, you can go down 4 paths to meet the wildlife of Florida! Which path shall you choose?

[Note: this park is big, as it takes place in a universe where Pleistocene Megafauna survived into the present, along with receiving migrants from South America, the rest of North America, and The Caribbean]
