      Did they have any native honeycreepers on exhibit?
    • Coelacanth18
      @DavidBrown Unfortunately no; this would have been the only one if there were any birds in it. The native Hawaiian birds at the zoo were 'io (Hawaiian hawk), pueo (Hawaiian short-eared owl), and nene (Hawaiian goose).

      @Coelacanth18

      I was at the Honolulu Zoo in January (did you go there too?) and the only native birds they had were an 'io and nene.

      Thanks for the photo tour of this zoo.

      @DavidBrown No problem! I was surprised there weren't any yet.

      I did not go to Honolulu Zoo, I was only on the Big Island. That's surprising and disappointing; I thought they held a relatively decent native bird collection in years past.
