This is the white native jackdaw (Corvus monedula) who lives wild at Chester Zoo.

I have a fair few close-ups of him and I'm sure he's fully-leucistic and not albino, which it seems is incredibly rare.

Wow, great shot, of both the Jackdaw and the Elephant!

now i wonder how many other people here would pay more attention to the jackdaw than to the elephant :) otherwise nice shot!

Nice! Not far from where I saw that jackdaw on Saturday.

I have much better photographs of the jackdaw than this, but there's some question over whether I should post them so I'm waiting for clarification. In the meantime, anyone who wants to see this guy close up just send me a PM.

I would have thought they could go in the UK Wildlife section - but of course the decision is for Sim and the Moderators.

Count me in to the more-interested-in-the-jackdaw group ;)

I'm confused, why wouldn't you post them?

the anti-white-jackdaw movement is very well-established in the UK, and it doesn't pay to annoy them. I can't say any more....

      Either or, doesnt bother us!
