I believe this strange and bizarre behavior is called feeding. The idea that you'd even think (which I highly doubt you do and just want to **** with us) that the elephant is trying to pull its way out by its trunk is absurd and an insult to elephants- one of the most intelligent animals around!

Now is this an Asian or African Bush Elephant?
