Glad Zoo - Fennec fox exhibit

This exhibit formerly housed meerkats, so Glad Zoo is a rare reverse example of a zoo exhanging their meerkats for a more unusual species (though fennec foxes are of course not that unusual). August 2016.

A bit more enrichment wouldn't be a bad idea though, some visual barriers and the like.

Agreed about the enrichment. Not sure what you mean by visual barriers? Barriers that let them hide more easily from the public in their outdoor exhibit?

Yes I always think all animals should be able to get away -at least visually - from each other and from people staring at them, it makes for a more relaxed animal and in some cases is a must for breeding certain species.

They would be able to hide from the public in that small rock mound with the blue tunnel, but maybe not from each other. That being said, I don't know many fennec foxes the zoo even keeps - I only saw the one on the picture.
