Gorillas in the Garden of the Apes at Port Lympne 27/11/09

The keeper provided a scatter feed of peanuts just as I made my final pass of the exhibit, which got all of the apes out and active at least!

I too only generally see them outside during the scatter feeds, but they do look really good on the grass viewed through the glass windows. Unfortunately they soon drift back indoors again( after about 10 minutes).

I've yet to see any climbing on the wooden 'fortress' equipment. I did once see one of the big males in the bachelor group on their outdoor equipment but that's about the sum total I 've seen it used apart from to sit underneath it.
