      Still unsure about this one.....could be Nicaraguan.....but can't get proper scale from pic

      Nicaraguan grackle only occurs in Caño Negro area, so it is a great-tailed grackle for sure.

      I saw a lot recently in Panama and stopped photographing them after my first full day...

      Thanks AWP. Also confirmed by my contact in CR. As you say, wrong area. I'm interested in your Panama trip...did you go there specifically to see wildlife?...did you go to CR as well on the same trip?

      I wrote a travel report: AWP's Third Neotropical Expedition. It was a tour for both nature and culture. Although I was close to the border, I didn't visit Costa Rica. I've been there in 2015.

      Very nice. You are obviously well travelled in central and South America (at least Ecuador from your gallery). I’m already planning my next trip to CR.....loved it and so much more to see. Maybe will get over the border into Panama too.
