      While the rows of 1930's mammal exhibits outside are terrible, the indoor snake cages are not much better. I believe that there is something like 130+ snake species and almost all of them are kept in terrariums that are a bit on the small side.

      I would love to see an Anaconda attack a pygmy hippo in the wild.

      That would be a bit complicated considering the fact those 2 species live on 2 entirely different continents....

      My point exactly. I doubt the person who typed up the sign was very knowledgeable on them.

      Hilarious sign! I wonder if the zoo meant to refer to a tapir instead of a pygmy hippo....

      Update on this exhibit- it now holds a juvenile American Alligator.
