Good comparisson... Besides it looks nothing naturalistic, I always see this kind of geometric concrete structures in zoos as very risky for the animals, because of their pointy corners.

This exhibit is ugly and can be dangerous for animals.

Yes, definitely... modernistic concrete architecture doesn't work well in zoos, and unfortunately there are still quite a bunch of these enclosures still in use worldwide

@David Matos Mendes @HungarianBison Surely those edges are no more dangerous than the sharp edges on the rocks you presumably wish to replace them with?

And does one assume every mock rock design mandatorily has sharp edges?

@David Matos Mendes If they had ever had any issues with corners causing injuries I am sure they would have remedied it. Its not like wild seals dont deal with sharp rocks. My objection to this exhibit is purely aesthetic in terms of the lack of naturalism.
