Grizzly Bears

Grouse Mountain Wildlife Refuge in Vancouver, British Columbia. A spectacular, 5-acre exhibit for two grizzly bears near the peak of Grouse Mountain. The bears have opportunities to avoid the public, but often choose not to.

      i was just thinking that myself... is there some sort of moat or is the fence electrifed to stop them leaving?

      A visitor can get extremely close to the bears, but the fence is still electrified.
      The bears have 5-acres to roam around in if they want to get away from the public eye.
