      If the baboons allow the plants to grow they will help to shield the shelters and give a little privacy which may suit some of the troop. A nice interesting and stimulating enclosure compared to the old "field" set up sometimes used to show of baboons.

      Over time the enclosure may mature a bit too- despite Baboons' notorious destructiveness, they might try adding some more logs/branches or very tough(!!!) vegetation for enrichment depending on what works and what doesn't. But overall I like it a lot.

      It's a shame they do not follow the lead of Seattle WPZ and leave the exhibit uninhibited for a year and et plants get established. Long term it would make a significant difference!

      Few zoos in the UK can afford to do that though it has undeniable benefits- presumably YWP wanted them in as a new attraction this year.
