Gulf of Mexico Exhibit

Taken 4/4/18. This facility is in downtown New Orleans, Louisiana and is part of the Audubon Nature Institute along with the nearby Zoo and Butterfly Garden & Insectarium. The aquarium has 57 exhibits within, set along a two-floor visitor path.

      The floor looks rather spectacular in this photo, as if it is a continuation of the exhibit. When I visited this facility in 2012 it was packed!

      It was very busy the day I was there too, many of these broader shots are from the last 15 minutes before closing time! I posted a fairly comprehensive set since there were few photos of it in its gallery; I suspect there were far more at one time but they may have been dumped in the great purge.
