Hand rearing a baby giant otter (Pteronura brasiliensis)

Airu is a giant otter rescued from wildlife trafficking in the Colombian Amazon. The individual was brought to the zoo because it could not be released and the zoo is well known for their experience with otters in the country. Hopefully one day she'll participate in the zoos breeding plans.
