Hippo Pool Cleaning Service

Several visitors and I were wondering why the poor keeper wasn't savaged by the older (?) female hippo who's just submerged herself again. Seriously, the shutter speed on this camera is terrible.

It looks like the pool is segmented by walls that can be hydraulically raised and lowered as necessary. You can sort of see it with that dark line running the width of the pool. The hippo was, maybe, a foot behind the wall.

@Buldeo There are metal fences and gates separating the pool into 4 spaces. The gates are controlled by hydraulics but they open horizontally not raised or lowered.
