      These guys are real favourites of mine - I always stop by to see them when I'm at Marwell :)
    • Pertinax
      This one's carrying a young domestic(food) rat. At most Zoos that keep them the male of this species can frequently be seen walking around carrying something in its beak- often a dead(food) chick. It seems part of their behaviour or display.

      Yes its the second time i have seen one of them running up and down with something in its beak the first time it was just a bit of grass this time it was his dinner. he seemed very proud
