alot of collections actually hav spot billed pelicans and havnt known tht they did especially if they hav pink backs cause they got muddled up a few times. we at longleat hav had the pink backs for many years and then we suddnely found tests suggesting a spot billed. he is still here and is 50 yrs old

well as this pelican is about twice the size of a spot bill i would still go for it being a dalmation

      it's a pinkbacked pelican
    • bloodycurtus
Nope it's still a dalmation, have any off you actually seen this pelican in person?
    • lintworm
no I have never been in Blackbrook, but I can tell you this is a Pink backed pelican. Dalmatian pelicans usuallay don't have so much grey on their back and the throat pouch is pink. A dalmatian pelican has a yellow or orange-red throat pouch.
