Katydid in Tortuguero, 15/04/14

Inverts in Costa Rica can be a nightmare to ID as there just too many! Even normally-easier groups like butterflies are hard - there's no easy reference work. If anyone has an ID suggestion let me know!

      When I actually got around to looking into this properly, I discovered the very helpful Orthoptera Species File ( Search for taxon ). It appears this is Copiphora rhinoceros.
